Plenary 2: Kathryn Eccles
Finding the Human in Data: What can Digital Humanities learn from digital transformations in cultural heritage?
| ||
Session Abstract | ||
Scholars in the Digital Humanities have in the past been criticised for being too inward looking and failing to reach out to wider constituencies. With Digital Humanities becoming more embedded in the scholarly community, is this criticism valid? This talk will discuss ways in which studying the transformation of scholarly archives in the Humanities, and the reorganisation of cultural heritage online, can contribute to our understanding of the value of the (digital) Humanities. |
